Privacy Policy — Tab Sweep
Last updated 14 October 2026
Tab Sweep is a Chrome browser extension made by Elisabeth Bromberg. It saves web pages the user has open to the user's own Pinterest boards.
What it reads
When you click the Tab Sweep button, it reads the web pages open in that Chrome window: each page's address, title, description, price and image addresses. It reads nothing until you click the button.
Where that information goes
- To Pinterest, only for the pages you choose to save, when you click Save: the image address, page address, title and description, to create the pin on the board you picked.
- To Anthropic, only if you add your own Anthropic API key in Tab Sweep's settings: the titles, descriptions, addresses and prices of the open pages, plus your board names, so Claude can suggest a board for each page. Anthropic's handling of that data is covered by Anthropic's own terms and privacy policy.
- Nowhere else. Tab Sweep has no server of its own and its maker receives none of this information. It has no analytics, advertising or tracking.
What it stores, and where
Your board list, any keywords you add to boards, the board you last used for each website, your Anthropic API key (if you add one) and your Pinterest access token are stored only in your own Chrome browser, using Chrome's extension storage. They are never sent to the maker of Tab Sweep. Removing the extension deletes them.
Your Pinterest account
Tab Sweep only reads your boards and creates the pins you confirm. It does not read your other pins, followers or messages, and it never posts without you clicking Save. You can disconnect it at any time in your Pinterest settings under Apps.
